In Somalia and Ogaden - Eastethiopia all most all girls are victim of genital mutilation. Every year about 2 million girls, mostly at the age of 8 - 10 years, become victims of this atrocious ritual - conducted without anaesthesia, simply with a razor blade.

 

Alice Schwarzer and Faduma Korn:: It should be a concern of dignity of every woman in the Western World to stand up against this ritual and to support the fight against genital mutilation.

This mutilation is one of the most barbarous rituals committted in the name of tribal traditions.
